Spectator Safety ManagementThe spectator safety management program has been developed to assist venue safety/security/operation managers to develop best practices in safety management. It is designed to review current guidance documentation on venue safety and customer safety awareness through a robust audit trail, and trained competent event staff.

This three-day program is being delivered at locations around the USA to assist venues to reduce training costs. It is also an invaluable tool for those managing events in local communities.

Who Should Attend This Program?

Spectator Safety ManagementThis program is for those involved in safety management at venues of all types. It covers the creation and maintenance of an operation plan and audit trail for events. Time is spent discussing issues that arise from dealing with spectators and participants of large events with case studies and exercises to assist understanding and test knowledge.

What accreditation can I achieve on completion of this program?

Watson Associates has mapped it’s training program against the CEU requirements and delegates will achieve up to 6 CEUs dependant on whether all projects and requirements have been met.

Spectator Safety ManagementCEUs are offered as certificates of credit for continuous learning activities Many professionals require CEUs for professional development and fulfilling associations/ license requirements. Law enforcement, emergency management, fire/hazmat, emergency medical services, and venue management personnel are interested in CEUs.

What Is The Process for the Program?

Participants need to attend a three-day course. There are no exams; candidates complete a project for their venue, which is submitted to their assessor.

There are also a series of questions that need to be answered, and submitted before completion.

Structure of the Program

All participants will undertake the following topics:

  • Plan for the safety of people attending a spectator event
  • Ensure the safety of people attending a spectator event
  • Assist the organization to develop and implement policies
  • Manage your own resources and professional development
  • Develop productive working relationships with colleagues/stakeholders
  • Provide information to support decision-making
  • Provide learning opportunities for colleagues
  • Manage the use of physical resources
  • Facilitate meetings


What Do You Need To Do To Enrol On The Program?

  • Complete the booking form on the last page of this leaflet.
  • You will be sent a confirmation letter and invoice
  • Payment is due prior to the commencement of the program
  • Complete the skills audit
  • Collate all stadium documents you have currently
  • Attend the training course
  • During the three days a personal time will be set aside to look at the documentation you have and complete a personal action plan
  • After the course, complete the operational plan
  • Answer the questions and submit them to your assessor

Costs

The full cost for the program including all materials, certification and refreshments is $1500.
Accommodation can be booked but payment is the responsibility of the delegate.
