NVQ Level 4 in Spectator Safety Managemene

NVQ Level 4 in Spectator Safety ManagementNATIONAL VOCATIONAL QUALIFICATION LEVEL 4 IN SPECTATOR
SAFETY MANAGEMENT.

Watson Associates, who have been involved with Safety Management Training since 1992 have designed a new course, which will help you achieve the Level 4 Qualification In Spectator Safety Management.

This new venture replaces the old course which has now been running for twelve years. We felt it was time to review the whole process and take the course to a higher level. This new course is a result of that process, and is accredited by City and Guilds.

The fifth version of The Green Guide requires ALL Safety Managers/Officers and their deputies to be working towards achieving the Level 4 Qualification. It maps out the competency of Safety Managers against a National Standard. Completion of this new course is one step towards achieving the Level 4 Qualification.

Prior to the course you will need to have some knowledge of or access to a number of documents, and you will receive a pack which will contain question which need to be answered and a skills audit will be undertaken.

  • The Green Guide- 5th Version
  • The purple Guide
  • The recommendations of the Lord Justice Taylor Report
  • The recommendations of the Popplewell report
  • The Safety at Sports Ground Act
  • Health and Safety at Work Act
  • The FLA Safety Management Guide
  • Your club’s contingency plan
  • Stewards Training Package
  • HSE guide to risk assessment
  • Statement of intent with local Police

The course is six days split into two 3 day sessions. However if competency and prior knowledge is claimed for certain subjects you will not need to attend all six days. A project is to be undertaken at the end of the course, and the project along with any assessments must be completed within 3 years of registration. However part certification can be achieved should there be a time constraint. Four courses are planned for this year.
